That familiar tropical feeling

The moment I stepped out of the airport in Bohol, something felt so familiar. The warm, humid air, that unmistakable tropical smell... it instantly brought back memories of Brazil. I hadn't experienced that feeling since leaving South America, and I was surprised by how nostalgic it made me. I hadn't realized just how much I'd missed it!

I ended up spending two weeks on the island, planning to focus a little more on work while still enjoying everything around me. And Bohol turned out to be such a lovely place for that! Life was affordable, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it was easy to find little ways to enjoy my free time.

I rented a bicycle and explored at my own pace, treated myself to some wonderfully inexpensive massages, and joined a few organized tours to discover more of the island. It was a nice balance between working, exploring, and simply enjoying being somewhere tropical again.

Looking back, I'm really happy I decided to spend those two weeks there. It wasn't about rushing from one attraction to another, but about having time to settle in, enjoy the island, and appreciate the little things. And after Bohol, it was time to continue my Philippine adventure on Siargao!
