A dream in autumn colors
18–22 Nov 2025
One of my biggest wishes had always been to visit Japan in autumn, when the trees turn all those incredible shades of red, orange, and yellow. And Kyoto was one of the places I was most excited about! I'd seen so many beautiful photographs of its temples, gardens, and traditional streets surrounded by autumn colors, and I couldn't wait to experience it all myself.
Kyoto is such a special city, with its centuries-old temples, peaceful gardens, traditional wooden houses, and beautiful little streets that still preserve so much of Japan's history and culture. It's especially photogenic in spring, during cherry blossom season, and in autumn, when the colorful foliage makes everything even more beautiful.
I spent my time exploring many of the city's famous spots, wandering around with my camera, and enjoying every little detail. Some places were incredibly busy, but I didn't really mind. I was just so happy to finally be there, photographing those beautiful landscapes I'd admired for so long.
And the best part was that I'd arrived right at the peak of the autumn colors! Seeing those vibrant red maples, golden trees, and beautiful temples surrounded by all that color was such a wonderful feeling. I remember being genuinely happy that the timing had worked out so perfectly.
Kyoto was everything I'd hoped for, and experiencing it in autumn made it even more special. Definitely one of those places I'd love to return to, perhaps next time during cherry blossom season!
