Magura and Pestera Villages, Piatra Mica Peak(1816m)

We spent a weekend exploring Piatra Craiului National Park and its nearby villages. In Măgura, the hills were blanketed in yellow and red leaves with clear views of the surrounding forest. In Peștera, steep slopes formed a patchwork of autumn tones and a light mist hovered in the valleys.

Our hike through Zărnești Gorge wound through the same valley where the ending scene of Cold Mountain was filmed, and walking there reminded me of that final moment in the movie. Towering cliffs and a cold breeze made the trail feel both dramatic and familiar.

At each stop, I paused to capture wide landscape shots and the sunset glow on the peaks. By the end of the trip, my memory cards were packed with crisp autumn colors and the quiet beauty of the mountains.
