Malaiesti Hut. One last weekend with snow this season

It was March, but winter still ruled Bucegi Mountains. We hiked up to Mălăiești Hut, snow crunching underfoot, everything covered in white silence.

The next day, we aimed for the Hornuri route, hoping to climb higher, but halfway up, the snow turned to ice. Without crampons, it was too difficult to continue.

We stopped, took in the view, and it was worth it. Layers of fog rolled through the peaks, breaking just enough to let sunlight pour in. I captured it all.. clouds, contrast, and the stillness of winter not yet ready to leave.
