Toward the end of the Alps trip, I finally got to visit Hallstatt, a place I had wanted to see for a long time. It’s one of those towns that looks like it’s been pulled straight from a fairy tale. Tucked between the lake and the mountains, with pastel-colored houses and a calm, timeless atmosphere, it’s easily one of the most photogenic places in Austria.
We arrived early in the morning, before the town got busy. I had my camera ready, hoping to catch the sunrise light... and I was lucky. The sun rose slowly over the lake, casting a warm glow across the water and the rooftops.
Walking around Hallstatt in that soft morning light felt special. It was calm, quiet, and exactly how I imagined it. After so many landscapes and hikes, this stop added a different kind of beauty to the journey, one made of still water, charming streets, and golden light.
