Going to the Ceahlău Mountains for a short trip, I was hoping to catch a bit of winter light and luckly I had a wonderful time. The evening I arrived, the sky turned soft orange and pink as the sun dipped behind the peaks. The air was cold and quiet, and the mountains seemed to glow for a few short minutes before everything faded into blue.
I spent the night at the Căhlău Hut, a cozy spot tucked into the snowy landscape. What made it even more special was the group of cats living there, curious, sleepy, and completely unbothered by the cold. I couldn’t help but take photos of them curling up in the snow or sunbathing near the hut’s steps.
The next morning brought a calm, golden sunrise... light sliding across the snow-covered ridge, slow and gentle. I stood still for a while, just taking it all in, then picked up my camera and started capturing what I could. Between the light, the mountains, and the little cats wandering around, the whole trip felt like a quiet winter gift.
