After the magic of Bliss Fusion, my next stop was the Future Zouk Festival in Chicago. The name said it all—there was something fresh, forward-thinking, and electrifying about this event. It felt like stepping into the heartbeat of the U.S. Zouk scene.
This was the first time I really started to get a feel for how people in the U.S. dance—their energy, musicality, and expression had a different flavor, and I loved exploring that. What surprised me most was that I had already begun to recognize familiar faces from the previous event. New connections were turning into friendships, and each encounter felt warmer and more familiar.
Chicago was a reminder that this journey had only just begun—and it was already unfolding in the most unexpected and beautiful ways.
