The first time I ever traveled outside of Europe, I landed in Los Angeles... and I couldn’t believe it. In a way, I was surprised it happened, but another part of me had seen it coming all along. As a child, I had always been fascinated by California, and especially LA. It had this distant, glowing presence in my imagination, and now, suddenly, I was there.
The very first city I stepped into outside of Europe was LA, and I was so happy about it. I stayed with two friends, Jerry and Andrea, who warmly welcomed me into their world. Jerry showed me around, and together we explored so many awesome spots in and around the city.
We drove through palm-lined streets, wandered through different neighborhoods, and explored LA by day and night. There was always something happening, always something new to see. And one of the highlights was definitely catching a beautiful sunset from the Hollywood Hills... that moment when the city glows under the soft evening light was something I’ll always remember.
