A fertile farmland of the Incan Empire
Another day trip from Cusco took me to the Sacred Valley: a place filled with history, beauty, and breathtaking views at every turn. 🌿🏔️
The valley stretches along the Urubamba River and is surrounded by dramatic mountains, ancient ruins, and small villages full of color and life. I visited places like Pisac, known for its hilltop Inca ruins and artisan market, and Ollantaytambo, a beautiful town with impressive terraced ruins that once served as a royal estate and fortress.
The energy in the Sacred Valley is special... it’s not just about the views, but the deep connection to Inca history and local culture that you can feel in the land, the people, and the way time seems to slow down.
