After Toronto, I continued my trip to Montreal but first I made a day trip at Niagara Falls.
Niagara Falls was as powerful and iconic as I imagined. I was lucky to stay until nightfall and take some night photos of the illuminated waterfall, which felt like a dream. Still, as stunning as it was, I couldn’t help but compare it to Iguaçu Falls that I recently visited as well, which was wilder, louder, and somehow more raw. Niagara was impressive, but Iguaçu had a kind of wild soul.
Montreal immediately stood out to me, it felt prettier and more European than Toronto. The mix of old stone buildings, French signs, and cozy streets gave it a charm that reminded me of a French city with an American twist. While walking through one of the parks, I even met a raccoon, just casually hanging around. It was such a cute little surprise and made the city feel even more alive.
