Editing these pictures made me get shivers down my spine remembering some of the moments from my childhood. I was only 8-9 years old when I was getting very excited at my countryside in Arges to be able to see a peak from Fagaras Mountains, the highest mountain range in Romania, somewhere far at the horizon.
Another memory comes back from when I was 11, traveling from my hometown to Timisoara by train, crossing the mountains from Caras Severin, staying awake at 5 in the morning just to admire the peaks.
I’ve always been fascinated by mountains and loved them greatly ever since I’ve learned about their existence. In my family there hasn’t been a habit to travel (maybe that’s why I got so crazy now as an adult with traveling), and I didn’t get the chance that much to see them close when I was a kid.
Watching these pictures now that I took in Patagonia made me realize just how far I’ve come with my passion and love for mountains… a love that had always been in my soul ever since I was born. 🙂
