I went on a summer hike in the Făgăraș Mountains, planning to reach Bucura Lake, camera in my backpack and stars in my mind. I was with a small group of friends, and although the goal was clear, the trail took a different turn. A few of them weren’t fully prepared for the full route, so we decided to stop earlier, somewhere near Paltinu, not far from Bâlea Lake.
We found a beautiful spot to set up our tents, surrounded by quiet peaks and alpine stillness. As night fell, the sky turned crystal clear, and I couldn’t stop staring up. I took out my camera and began shooting the stars, capturing the Milky Way arched above the ridges. It felt peaceful and beautiful, just us, the mountains, and the universe overhead.
