From Puerto Vallarta, I took a bus toward Mexico City, stopping in Guadalajara and Guanajuato along the way.
Guadalajara felt huge. I enjoyed walking through the city center during the day, where the vibe was lively and active. At night, though, I didn’t feel as safe, so I mostly stayed in. Still, it was interesting to see such a big part of Mexico up close.
Then I reached Guanajuato... the air was cooler, thanks to the altitude, but the city itself was full of warmth. So many colors, flowers everywhere, and winding streets that made you want to get lost on purpose. I hiked up to a viewpoint on the hill and took photos of the whole city below. That view will definitely stay with me. Guanajuato was one of the most beautiful and colorful places I’ve seen.
