Adventure by the Atlantic Ocean's coast

While in Lisbon, I took a solo trip to Cascais and Cabo da Roca, excited to explore the Atlantic coast and dedicate the day to photography. I had always wanted to see that rugged shoreline, cliffs, waves, and dramatic skies, and it didn’t disappoint. With my camera in hand, I set off like I was on a mission, hiking along the coast and stopping wherever the landscape asked to be photographed.

At Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe, the wind was strong and the waves were wild. I remember standing close to the edge, watching the ocean crash against the rocks below. I found a quiet spot to shoot the waves rushing through the sand and stone, trying to capture the rhythm of the sea.

But nature had its own ideas... one sudden bigger wave hit the rocks and splashed all over me and my camera. I had to quickly grab everything and run back to safety, half-laughing, half-panicking, trying to dry the camera while also not getting completely soaked.

It was one of those moments that turns a peaceful photo mission into an adventure. I loved every second of that day: walking, shooting, feeling the raw power of the ocean, and being fully present on that wild Atlantic edge.
