Prague Zouk Marathon
Attending the Prague Zouk Marathon was an experience I’ll never forget, especially because it was my first Zouk event post-pandemic. In fact, it wasn’t really “post” yet — the world was still in lockdown. Despite everything being strange and divided around us, the dancers there were yearning for connection, craving the very thing that brought us together: dance.
The pandemic had hit the dance community hard, leaving us isolated from the music and the people we loved to dance with. But at the marathon, there was an undeniable feeling of hope. As soon as the music played, it was like the world outside melted away. The connection, joy, and passion that filled the room reminded me of how powerful dance is as a form of expression, a lifeline that helps us navigate even the hardest of times.
