Visiting the amazing North of Laos but in the burning season
I was supposed to stay here longer, but because of the smoke and fog from the air, I decided to leave and maybe come back another time. A villager told me the best time would be June when the rainy season was coming and I definitely understood his point. Those amazing cliffs and green mountains must be beautiful when the air is fresh and the sky is blue.
You can do a lot of hikes in this place and have beautiful views. In the autumn you can also see a lot of fog... the kind of fog that photographers like. It must be a paradise in some moments of the year... unfortunately when I went was hard to see anything because of the smog. Still, North of Laos is truly amazing and I'm glad I got to visit it.
Also, I remember the food at the hostel I stayed (Sythane Guesthouse) was delicious and a lot, compared to most Asian places where the plates are small. I had a delicious panang curry.
