Ceahlău. For every Romanian landscape photographer, it holds a magnetic pull, an iconic place where earth meets sky in the most breathtaking way.
We spent the night at Cabana Ceahlău, nestled quietly in the mountain’s embrace. There was a stillness in the air, the kind that makes you feel like something special is about to happen. And it did.
Waking up before dawn, we layered up, cameras in hand, and stepped outside just as the sky began to shift. The sunrise crept in slowly, casting shy colors through the thinning crowns of autumn trees. Mist floated gently below us, and the golden light painted the mountaintops in delicate pastels.
It was calm, intimate, and quietly spectacular. A moment where nature whispered rather than roared. I managed to frame a shot where the trees glowed just enough—not dramatic, but deeply soulful.
Ceahlău gave us what we came for: a glimpse of something timeless. A dream fulfilled, captured one soft sunrise at a time.
