Deep Into Zouk was held at a place that already held so many memories for me — Renata Pecanha’s dance school. Just being back there felt warm and familiar, like stepping into a space where time slows down and everything revolves around music and movement. It was heartwarming to see Val and Vanessa teaching again, sharing their energy and creativity with everyone in the room.
Although I couldn’t fully attend all the workshops and activities — work kept me busy during the event — I still managed to catch glimpses of the magic. Between tasks, I wandered through the familiar hallways, peeking into classes, smiling at the energy, and enjoying the comfort of a place that had once been such a central part of my Zouk journey.
Even without being fully present, it reminded me why I fell in love with this community in the first place — the passion, the people, and the shared joy of dance that fills every corner of that school.
