Florianopolis

I spent one week in Florianópolis, an island city I’d heard a lot about, especially as a popular spot for digital nomads. And it didn’t disappoint. What surprised me most was how European it felt in some ways... calm, organized, and much safer, even at night. Out of all the places I’d been to in Brazil, it was the one where I felt most at ease.

I worked remotely during the day, sometimes even with my laptop at the beach, which felt almost too good to be true. I also visited an area with desert-like sand dunes, where I watched kids sandboarding down the hills. One evening, I went up to a spot overlooking the city and captured a beautiful sunset, the light stretching over the ocean and rooftops in a way that made everything feel soft and golden.
