We arrived in Bergen in the afternoon, after a long but stunning train ride across Norway. We only had a few hours, just the rest of the afternoon, the sunset, and a bit of the night, but that short time was enough to leave a deep impression.
The city was beautiful, tucked between mountains and water, with colorful houses and a peaceful atmosphere. As dusk approached, we climbed up a hill overlooking Bergen, and from there, the view was magical. The city slowly lit up as the sky turned shades of pink and blue, and I couldn’t resist capturing the moment with my camera. It felt quiet and special, like we had stepped into a painting for just a while.
Later that night, we boarded a night train back to Oslo, part of our plan to save money, traveling on a budget with our Interrail Pass. We slept on the train instead of booking accommodation, but I couldn’t sleep much. I kept looking out the window, completely mesmerized.
The moon lit up the snowy mountains as we passed through them. It was so peaceful and surreal... everything outside bathed in a soft, silver glow. That moment, the silence, the snow, and the moonlight on the peaks, is something I’ll always remember. Norway gave me so many beautiful images, but that night on the train felt like a quiet dream.
